Privacy Policy

This explains what Vera collects, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

Vera is a personal project run by an individual developer in India, who decides how your data is used. Vera is for people aged 18 and over.

For any question, complaint or request about your data, write to support@vera.solutionss.in.

What we collect

Your name, Gmail address and avatar: To create your account and greet you.

A scrambled copy of your password: So you can sign in. We never see or keep the password itself.

Your answers to the first-run questions: To tailor Vera to why you use it.

The tasks, habits and streaks you create: This is the app itself. They are kept on your phone and on our server.

Your phone model, system version and network address when you ask for a code: To show you where a code was requested so you can report it if it was not you.

Feedback and survey answers you send: To improve Vera. Administrators can read them.

Rewards and credits you earn: So the rewards you earn for your streaks are remembered.

Your Plus subscription details: The plan, renewal date, order number and a purchase token from Google Play, so Vera can check your payment and give you Plus. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or UPI details.

What you write or say to the AI helper, only if you use it (Plus): The words you type or speak for that request are sent to Google Gemini, which turns them into a list of tasks and habits for you to review. This happens only after you agree.

Your voice, only when you tap the mic: Your phone turns your speech into text with its own speech service, which on most phones comes from Google. Vera only receives the text. Vera does not record or keep your voice.

Google data, only if you connect it: Calendar events and tasks are fetched when you open Vera and are not copied to our server.

What we do not collect

No advertising or analytics software runs in Vera and it does not send crash reports to anyone. We do not sell your data.

We do not read your contacts, photos, location or messages. Vera never listens in the background: the microphone is used only while you have tapped the mic.

Who else handles your data

Google, for sign-in, for the services you connect, for payments and app updates through Google Play, and for the AI features (Gemini).

Resend, which sends the sign-in and sign-up emails.

MongoDB Atlas, which hosts our database, and Oracle Cloud (Mumbai), which hosts our servers.

Expo, which delivers improvements to the app. When Vera checks for one, Expo sees your phone's platform, the app version and your network address.

They only process data to run Vera for you.

Payments

Plus is paid for through Google Play. Google collects and processes your payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Vera receives only the confirmation: the plan, renewal date, order number and a purchase token, which it uses to check with Google that your payment is real.

AI features

The AI coach writes its tip from your own habit figures, such as counts and streaks. The text of your tasks is not sent for the coach.

The AI helper (Plus) sends the words you type or speak for that one request to Google Gemini, and only after you agree. Google processes them to write your list under its own terms. Nothing is added until you choose it, and you can stop at any time by not using the feature.

Reporting an AI answer

If you tap Report this answer, we keep your report: what you chose, any note you wrote, and the short AI answer you reported. We use it to fix problems, and it is removed if you delete your account.

Microphone and voice

Vera asks for the microphone only when you tap the mic. The speech service on your phone, which on most phones comes from Google, turns what you say into text under its own terms. Vera receives only that text and does not record or keep your voice.

If you say no, everything else in Vera still works and you can type instead.

How it is protected

Passwords are stored only as a salted hash. Google access tokens are encrypted before they are stored. Sign-in tokens on your phone are kept in the phone's secure storage.

Email codes are single-use and expire in 10 minutes.

How long we keep it

Your data stays while your account exists. When you delete your account it is held for 7 days and then removed, apart from anonymous feedback you chose to leave and records of payments, which are kept for as long as accounts and the law need them.

Tasks you have completed are removed automatically after 30 days on the Free plan and after 365 days on Plus. Tasks that are still open are never removed this way.

Your choices

You can edit your name and avatar, turn off any connected Google service, and delete your account, all from Settings. You can also ask by email to delete your account. To ask for a copy of your data or to have it corrected, or to make a complaint about how it is handled, write to support@vera.solutionss.in.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first.
